Treble kicks off 2016 with a Bright new sponsorship

The Treble Group is proud to announce that life insurance player; BrightRock has signed a three-year Official Associate Sponsorship agreement with DHL Stormers and DHL Western Province, effective from January 2016.

BrightRock has rapidly established itself as one of the fastest-growing players in the intermediated individual life market in South Africa.

According to BrightRock executive director Suzanne Stevens, the partnership echoes the company’s strong performance to date and will help grow the awareness of its brand among consumers in its target market.

Stevens commented: “We’re thrilled to be involved with two of South Africa’s most beloved rugby properties and helping to bring top-class rugby action to such a large, diverse and passionate fan base across South Africa”.

BrightRock’s involvement as a business sponsor for the DHL Western Province and DHL Stormers teams will be visible in the DHL Newlands stadium and the BrightRock logo will proudly appear on the back of all match-day jerseys.

Treble conceptualised, marketed and ultimately secured the BrightRock sponsorship opportunity. The collaboration seemed a good fit as the insurance player required a sporting property which could give them the branding and experiential platform to launch their brand to the broader South Africa market.

Treble Group’s Managing Director, Kyle Nel, has a long standing relationship with Suzanne Stevens. Together, Treble and BrightRock reviewed a number of opportunities. Ultimately the WP Rugby and BrightRock association has presented a strategic fit as to where BrightRock is with their current brand and business strategy.

We look forward to working with the dynamic BrightRock team on this exciting new venture.

After Treble Group was awarded the Food and Beverage Rights for the HSBC Cape Town Sevens Tournament, Treble set about working with a number of stakeholders to implement a food and beverage solution for potentially the biggest sporting event ever held at the iconic Cape Town Stadium.

The event was held over two days, on 12 and 13 December 2015, as the South African leg of the global tournament, and will be held in Cape Town for the very first time.

The World Sevens Series (WSS) is owned by IB Tournaments Limited (IBT), who are responsible for the staging and organisation of the World Sevens Series. The South African Rugby Union (SARU) is responsible for the hosting of the tournament in South Africa. SARU has full ownership and responsibility for the successful delivery of all Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, Ticketing, Food and Beverage and other Commercial Rights.

Treble was mandated to oversee the entire Food and Beverage solution for the event in the stadium:

“The Treble Events Team experienced a number of key learnings from the event and are well positioned going forward,” said Managing Director of Treble, Kyle Nel.

The Treble team is looking forward to continuing to work closely with SARU on this exciting venture.
